What patients say on Google
“This doc runs a side gig at Cottonwood creek and is an absolutely terrible doctor. He prescribes tons of medication and doesn't listen to anything you have to say. He says one thing, then does another, then pretends later like he doesn't know what's happening. I guess it is hard when you give patients there a grand total of 5 minutes of conversation before diagnosing and prescribing multiple medications to keep track of what is happening. I wouldn't trust anyone to be anywhere near this doctor. He has no compassion, no empathy, and an incredibly huge ego that has probably damaged countless people.”
“Like many reviews before me, I had the unfortunate experience of being a patient of Ms. Kent at Cottonwood Behavioral Health Center. She immediately sent up red flags with her dismissive attitude. I went with my gut and asked to see another doctor. Come to find out, during a medical check in, that Ms. Kent had been intentionally misgendering me. Glad I kicked her to the curb, before she was able to turn me into one of her mindless med zombies.”
“I will finally speak out on my horrible experience in hopes to help others. I sure wish that 0 or even negative stars were an option. I honestly have seen around a dozen psychiatrists in my life, many of which were not great until I found my current one that I have had for around a year and a half. Recently, I unfortunately ended up at Cottonwood Creek and was placed on an involuntary hold where, despite my previous stay that was much better, I was treated horribly not only by the staff but by David who was a new "psychiatrist" to me. He tried to diagnose me with a severe disorder after conversing for only around 5 minutes and would not listen to me or my own genetic history. I am serious about the diagnosis being only after around 5 minutes. He then wanted to put me on a severe, life-altering medication without any mention of it's potential side effects, even though I mentioned being severely prone to side effects. Fortunately, my parents fought for me to leave earlier than my projected discharge date (my dad works in law, thankfully, and called every day) and I was fortunately discharged after 3 days. I was put in one of the most intensive and severe units that I know of. I had never felt more alone or frustrated, I just wanted out of there. After the quick diagnosis, the day before I was discharged, what did David do? First of all, he wanted me to count my blessings because my early release in an intensive unit practically never happens (he really pointed this out..), but he also promoted his own dumb book. Look, I am a graphic designer and illustrator so I know self promoting more than anything, but there's a right time and place. This was so far beyond unprofessional. He self promoted to a patient in one of the most intensive units in a mental health facility. He also does not list when he started working at Cottonwood. I've heard through anonymous resources that a recently hired "Dr" at Cottonwood has been prescribing Benzos to those who don't need it... 2.7 (edit: 2.5 stars after me... you're welcome) Google Review Stars really says it all... I know this will be removed, I know I won't be taken seriously... but please, if you can, avoid David at all costs. Please. (edit #2: Hey David, you haven't responded yet. Do you have something to say for yourself? I'm still traumatized, thanks a lot.)”
“Dr. Kent only wants to see how many meds and at the highest dose that he can put you on! He doesn't care about you as a patient! He is the worst Psych doctor I have ever seen and I was forced to see him by the state of Idaho, they should be ashamed that they have that guy deciding if people are mentally sound or not how would you know when they are zombies from his medical coma he puts them in with his power to write prescriptions for those high doses! Medical freedom or choice is also not something that he will ever consider! Do not recommend! Zero compassion for people in mental health crisis!”
